RANDOM JUNE UPDATE

June 18th, 2026 / 17:43 (GMT-3)

Hey! Good morning/afternoon/evening to anyone reading this. I don't think I've ever written one of thse just to say "Hey, here I am, I am not dead," but uhh hey! Here I am and I am not dead!

I might've shared that I've had a very slow and lowkey depressing couple of months, but that's over for now! I'm feeling better at the moment, but I'm still not drawing as much as I'd want to. There are two good reasons for that:

#1: I'm working on commissions. Even if I'm not being as fast as I'd like in that aspect, I still struggle when doing anything that's not a commission,. You know, the typical thought of "I'm having fun while I should be drawing." Even then, I hope I empty my queue quick, I hate to leave my clients waiting, but sometimes the creative juices don't flow. If you're one of my clients reading this: Hi, I swear I'm working on it, I'm just a bit stacked in work at the moment. Thank God I'm not doing art fight this year.

#2: I'm... sort of on another art block? Not the "Ugh, I can't draw anything," type of art block. Just the one where you feel like you could do lots of more stuff but you can't really do them yet. I want to have more OCs just so I can draw them, but I always fall into the trap of wanting to give them stories, and character arcs, and a world surrounding them. Why is that bad? Because it's an easy way for me to hit a roadblock and not want to do anything with said OCs for a good while. Kind of beats the point of having so-called "OCs just to be drawn," but at the same time I consider OCs with more set plots and traits to be far more interesting.

Like, you don't see that much art from my D&D characters, right? That's because most of them don't have their stories detailed yet. Arles does, which is why there's so much art of him in his gallery. I guess it's just a matter of writing enough of the characters and their world. I just don't want to go back to the San Canes days where I couldn't think of anything for the characters that fit the story I said I wanted to tell, which made me feel like I was dissapointing people. I know y'all are far more patient and sympathetic than I give you credit for, so it's something I need to work on myself.

I'm focusing on making art, writing, and other creative endeavors more fun for me. Think of them less as chores I need to deliver to a public, and more something that's weird, experimental, less polished. I'm planning a longform Sonic fanfic that I'll publish here and in my AO3 eventually! I don't want it to be like a main thing for me or my art accounts, just something fun that a few people might enjoy!

I also started a commonplace book. Sort of like a journal, but meant for brainstorming, and writing information down. It's... sort of helpful? Can't tell, I've had it for less than two weeks by now, but it's nice to write stuff down in a little book where I know where everything is, instead of my computer files, where I have to go out of my way to find it between multiple folders. Physical media rules actually.

I've been making a list of shows, movies, and games I should watch/play that I haven't! It's not public, per se, but I opened a Letterboxd for any movie I watch. I could mayyyybe open up an iMDB or a MyAnimeList site too if y'all are interested in that?

As for site news, I don't have much to share. The whole revamp was meant for my future stuff to have a nice place to be hosted at, and for that, you'll have to wait. However, I've joined two webrings (as of now) and made a guestbook! You can check them out in the Extras page!

I might do some of these classic "what I've been up to these past few days/weeks" kinds of posts more often, just for all of my internauts out there who care about the guy behind this mess of a site.

With that out of the way, have a nice Thursday, guys! :)
