//ART RESOURCES I USE

November 4th, 2025 / 16:24 (GMT-3)

I've posted this on my Bluesky, but I figure you'd like a more permanent version in my site! Why? Because hot artists don't gatekeep.

BRUSHES & MATERIALS

All of these are Clip Studio Paint materials. I do not use other softwares, so if you need IbisPaint/Procreate/Photoshop materials I'm not your guy, sorryyy.

  • Cy's CSP Brush Pack: While I don't use most of these, it's Grease Pencil is one of my all-time favorite sketching brushes.
  • Croquis: A more rigid, less pencil-like brush that I still use a lot.
  • Soft Chalk Pencil: A chalk-like pencil brush that also doubles as a rendering brush!
  • Perfect Pencil: Like the title says, this is pretty much one of the most spot-on pencil brushes there are, go get it if you like using pencils irl.
  • Comic Ink Pen: This list's only lineart brush, and for good reason, I don't use anything else. I just think textured pens are neat!
  • Square Texture Brush: My favorite rendering brush. It's extremely simple, and it doesn't automatically blend by default, so you have to color pick the in-between colors.
  • Erase Along Edge & Lasso Paint Filler/Eraser: Easy and quick tools for those who hate manually coloring your characters.
  • Rule of Thirds: Image material with two rules of thirds for your compositions.

COOL RESOURCES

  • Visual Library: A bunch of Pinterest boards with professional character designs and some tutorials too.
  • Magic Poser: A great 3D model poser. Personally, I recommend these more than the CSP models.
  • Animal Heads: An animal photography searcher for accurate references.
  • Male & Female Reference Searcher: Similar to the latter, but with humans. WARNING: These include uncensored nude models! Use at your own risk!

YOUTUBE ART CHANNELS THAT DON'T SUCK

  • Sinix: Teaches in-depth anatomy and design theory.
  • Winged Canvas: Great tutorials for beginner and intermediate artists.
  • Marco Bucci: Very informative and thorough painting and rendering tutorials.
  • Not Perera: Good tutorials for spanish-speaking artists!

Never stop doing art, guys! Especially in times like these! Have a nice tuesday.
